Default Little help on adapter size

so ive gone through the stickies, the skulte FAQ thats still up, and im still a little confused.

i have a set of 18 x 9.5" wheels with a 1" lip and a 54mm offset. makes zero sense to me to ADD the lip to the backspacing.

Rim Width / 2 = Centerline
Centerline + Offset + Rim Lip = Backspacing

as you can tell.. the .gif doesnt include the lip in backspace measurement
so.. according to that (im going to have everything in metric):

Centerline: 120.65
Offset: 54
Lip: 25.4

so... 120.65 + 54 + 25.4 = 200.05 which is 7.87" of backspacing. that would mean an almost 3" adapter. that doesnt seem right.

after all that.. my physical measurement of the backspacing yields jsut under 190.5. so.. wtf, over.

from just a regular measurement.. i need a 2.5 inch adapter. if i subtract the 7.93 of the rotor width.. i get 2.19" adapter required (im using a kore3 hub and Camaro SS rotor).
mind you, the third gen needs (usually) 5 inches of bs for stock fit wheels.

lil help?
