Default 20s on my new WS6. Came on the car but I might keep em! Thoughts?

Had this car 2 days, my first mod will be KONI/BMR 1.25" drop.

So try to picture this car sitting properly, not so high in the air. Also planning on painting the mirrors black, and painting the chrome grill inserts black or gunmetal grey.

I know 20s aren't ideal for performance, but I plan on getting a second set of wheels and tires for track or winter use. I would have never personally bought 20s for this car, but these are kind of growing on me...

With that said, here it is:

I like the design, but 20s are just too big in the front. The overall front tire diameter looks awful; it's almost touching the fender liner on the front. Those tires must be 28" tall in the front.

I think you should get the same front wheels in a 17 or 18 and it would look even better.

I was expecting them to look a lot worse, they don't look too bad.

Good call. 245/40/20 in front 275/35/20 in rear. I assume i need 245/30/20 to clear up front? They do currently rub when i lock the wheel.

They are Foose nitrous as far as i can tell, I think with a 3.83 gear and suspension mods I might pull it off.

And yes stock ride height, shocks are shot lol

Clean Bird! I honestly don't mind the size, some f-bodies can pull off 20's (at least in the rear) quite nicely, but IMO the wheels themselves are crap-tasticly ugly.

Get some BMR springs under it and send us pics. I would be curious to see if you have any tire clearance or scrubbing issues with the fenders. looks like you may have some in the front after the drop. either way I'm curious to see how it turns out

They are good looking wheels but I agree they are too big for the car. Starting to look a little Matchbox-ish. I'd say sell and downsize but just my opinion and yours will be the only one that counts*

I like the design as well, but overall diameter looks like you are trying to be a Donk or something, which is not a compliment. I personally prefer 17-18 on our cars. The proper diameter tires on our car are just 25.66". I run a 27" for a rear drag tire, and 26" front, but that is the only place I would I go over 25.66.

Clean T/A but in my opinion i prefer 17"-18". To each is his own, if you like them that is the only opinion that matters.

That would get you closer to the right overall diameter, but then you run into two new problems:

1) Band aid size tire that looks goofy on its own

2) Almost guaranteed to have a horrible ride and a bent wheel if you hit a big bump.

I would say you could pull this off if you had a 19" wheel in the front and got it close to a 26" tire in the front.

If you're set on those rear wheels, I would go very aggressive with your rear gearing unless you're planning on boosting the car.

I agree with most everyone, 19/20 would be better. That's what I'm running. I'm sure it looks even better in person.

As far as changing just the front to 19" they dont offer these wheels in that size. I kind of like the balanced, or "matchbox" look with the 20s up front, but I do mind the rubbing.

Define very aggressive gearing, 4.10?

I am going to try to make these work, then just buy some stockers when I need the sidewall .

I should probably make a new thread for this, but I need to figure out a game plan. I will be lowering 1.25". Planning on 245/30/20 front and 275/30/20 rear, does this sound like a suitable combo? I've read about doing 305/35/20 in the rear for extra sidewall but can't find much information on that setup.

Regardless of your feeling of the wheels can I get some input on tire sizes to fit with a 1.25" drop?

Thanks a lot for all the feedback thus far guys.

Not too bad, def. need a drop. I believe those are AC Schnitzer Type IV Replica wheels, too bad they werent real ones, the OE Type IV's are worth about 4 grand. Slam her to the ground.

I thought it was in Knox, I looked at a SS car at a lot and seen this one there too. Ha well we get together on the weekends in pigeon forge and have a car meet usually Fridays and saturdays. We have usually a few f-bodys and a few foxes but there are plenty turbo imports to puppy kick lol.

I like the design, but they're too big. I'd go with 18's or a staggered 17/18 set. And lowering springs. You'd have to roll the fenders to avoid rubbing if you want to keep a reasonably wide tire under there. I had 18x10 on the rear of my TA with 285 or 295 (forgive my faulty memory) tires and had to roll.

I feel they could work with a lower tire upfront and the drop.
