Default Tube question

Hi guys, I just bought some hoosier qtp #17500 bias ply and do I needs tubes for these ? Im a noob to drag racing and also do I need to screw the tires or is that just for high hp cars ? tire size is 27- 10.5 15, my hp is 470rwhp and mid to high rpm dumps. thanks

I would contact Hoosier about the tube. Most, but not all, DOT tires are tubeless.

Screwing the wheels is not required at your power level but many people still do it, your call. If you have never done it I would get someone with experience to assist you. It would suck to screw-up a good set of wheels. If you have a set of junk wheels laying around I would practice on them.

I was looking for some real world experience. I could call hoosier but im sure that they would tell me yes you need tubes. As far as screws, I wasn't sure at my low power level. I do have nitrous but not using it yet

Like I said not required at your power level.

I'm not sure what you mean by real world experience. Yes I have never run these tire but I have been active in racing for over 40 years.

I mean, if someone has run these tires before. I would think that a qtp bias ply would be the same as other qtp's.
