Default Drag Radials on the street picking up small stones

Anyone with drag radials that you drive on the street.
Do yours pick up small stones and launch them into the wheel
well so you hear it while driving down the street slowly
such as in a turn?

Stone driveways?

I have Pirellie Pzero, I used to have stock. I never heard
so many stones in my wheel wells before. Now it is bad
enough that going down a stone drive way in my automatic
I have to hold the brake on and go half the speed I would
go at idle.

I want to know if anyone knows of any "coatings" I can spray/brush
on in the wheel well to help "quiet" the stones when they hit the car?
OR
Just live with it as a byproduct of sticky tires?

thanks.

Just wait till ya' do a burnout or heat 'em up real good on the street. You will never in you life have such a "fun" experience (and by fun I mean annoying as hell). They also get slippery as hell when you heat them up too well, as they pick everything up in the treads and spin all over the place. Kinda takes some getting used to!

Wait till you drive past a highway patching crew. My nittos gave my underbody a good asphalt wash yesterday on the way to work! They're sticky like a lint-roller.

Yup and thanks to the wider wheels, my rear bumper cover has lots of nice stone chips.

its just the nature of sticky tires, don't run them if you dont like the anoying habits they have. I am used to it, but it still sucks,

I'm just wondering... Will small pebbles like this damage the tires? I have to drive on a gravel road everyday with my car, no DR's yet but I would like to get some sometime soon.

small stones will not damage the tires. hell...i run around on m&h racemaster cheeter slicks and stones don't damage them. if you would like to try a great racing tire take a look www.intercotire.com look at the muscle car drag. the 305/40/16 muscle car tire at 12psi put me 1.5 60's and pulled my front tires off the ground. i now run the cheeter slick from m&h. be cool man.

small stones get stuck to the tire like glue, not really pressed in to the tire. After driving through some, stop the car and wipe the tire with your hands. It's like wiping off a dirty table. A pass with the hand cleans it.
