Default Z06 rims

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some honest opinions from my peers here and see if i'm making the right decision. I have a Hugger orange Z28 w/ white rims. I got the hookup of a lifetime and got myself some never-been-used Z06 rims (17x9.5 front & 18x10.5 back). I'm thinking of powdercoating them jet black leaving only the polished aluminum ring around the outer edge of the rim. Do you think it would look good? Feed me your thoughts and other opinions.

Gabe

Hmmm the hugger orange... if they are the OEM Z06's I think the normal color of them would look good on that car. Something about the soild orange color with black makes me think halloween... but then again I'd have to see it.

I know a guy that has a sunset orange metallic SS with black ZR1's and it looks really good. The Hugger Orange would contrast very well with the black but I too am thinking the Halloween thing. Maybe the natural Z06 color would look best but I'd like to see it both ways.

It would look pretty cool. Maybe powdercoating them white would be different.

that's what i am doing when i get the money. i have a red camaro w/ black stripes. i think the black powdercoating w/ the outside rim chromed would look badass and would match the stripes very well.

See I noticed a all black 10-spoke rim on a SOM camaro and thought it looked very nice... but then the SOM is a much darker and metallic color compared to hugger. Wonder how white Z06's would look...

I have white ZR-1's right now...but I kinda wanted a change...for some reason I think it would look sweet...but some people say it wouldn't go.....the reason i wanted to go with the black rims was because i'm doing the "Berger mod" by painting the rear "CAMARO" panel black, w/ a black billet grille. What do you think about that setup??

Well since you'll be adding more black to the car it should 'flow' better and I'm liking how your adding those extra things... it'll be unique and should turn out good. And if you have the black leather interior, even better.

If your doing the grille and tail pannel a flat black, maybe consider doing the Z06's flat black also?

I say go for it either way.

Yeah I do have black interior and I am painting them flat black. Thanks for helping me out in deciding what to do man. I appreciate your opinions. How do I get the outer lip of the rim to be polished though?

Hmmm...the combo of black with Hugger sounds good, but then again, I love the factory color of the Z06s...I'd have to see it...perhaps Pendragon or Dood could photo-chop these setups for us? CarrotcarZ, try posting a request in the mulitmedia section for a photo-chop of these setups.

Yeah I'm selling them for $400 w/ tires...I just got them re-powdercoated white again less than a month ago. It's a pretty good deal I think, I have been made some offers round that price.
