Z06 rims Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some honest opinions from my peers here and see if i'm making the right decision. I have a Hugger orange Z28 w/ white rims. I got the hookup of a lifetime and got myself some never-been-used Z06 rims (17x9.5 front & 18x10.5 back). I'm thinking of powdercoating them jet black leaving only the polished aluminum ring around the outer edge of the rim. Do you think it would look good? Feed me your thoughts and other opinions.

I know a guy that has a sunset orange metallic SS with black ZR1's and it looks really good. The Hugger Orange would contrast very well with the black but I too am thinking the Halloween thing. Maybe the natural Z06 color would look best but I'd like to see it both ways.

that's what i am doing when i get the money. i have a red camaro w/ black stripes. i think the black powdercoating w/ the outside rim chromed would look badass and would match the stripes very well.

If your doing the grille and tail pannel a flat black, maybe consider doing the Z06's flat black also?
I say go for it either way.

re: Yeah I do have black interior and I am painting them flat black. Thanks for helping me out in deciding what to do man. I appreciate your opinions. How do I get the outer lip of the rim to be polished though?

Hmmm...the combo of black with Hugger sounds good, but then again, I love the factory color of the Z06s...I'd have to see it...perhaps Pendragon or Dood could photo-chop these setups for us? CarrotcarZ, try posting a request in the mulitmedia section for a photo-chop of these setups.
