Default 17x9.5 front wheels, what is a good tire size

I know I know but I want some personal opinions. I have 17x9.5 front and 17x11 in the rear. I dont know the offset but they are the same if that helps. I have 235/45/17 in the front right now, which dont fit the rim completely, rim lip sticks out farther than the tire. What is a good tire size for the front with this wheel size.

Keep in mind I am currently stock ride height, but will be getting hotchkis 1 inch lowering springs soon after the new tires so I want front tires that wont rub on a sharp turn and so on. Ordering tires in the next few days and need this info asap. Thanks in advance

275/40 is what I run on my 17 x 9.5s.

are you at stock ride height, or do you have a drop?

Stock ride height. I'm also going with those Hotchkis springs, and I don't see it being a problem. I have a 52 mm offset.

Either size 275/40-17 or 285/40-17 will fit, but the 275s would be better to keep the stock tire height.
