Well the first step is identifying what offset you're gonna be running. I'm running 12" wide with a 59mm offset and a spacer. I can't remember for sure what size spacer it is but I'm pretty sure it's 1/4" or so. I don't have the knowledge to tell you WHAT offset you need to run it, but if the offset is right you really shouldn't need to run a spacer. I think* lol.

the guy i bought them off of said nothing about a spacer, i didnt even think about it until my buddy said he needed them for his z28. my back tires are 315s. so just so i understand, as long as the offset is correct, the rims/tires will fit...

I went from stock to 12" wide wheels so my experience is minimal in this department. There are plenty of people on here that do run that particular set up so hopefully one of them can chime in to give you a better idea.
But to my knowledge... yes, they should fit without issue...

Yes with the correct offset you will not need a spacer I have 17X10.5 with a 44mm offset and a 7.55" backspace.
You can always mount the tires and wheels and see how everything looks. Then add a space if needed.

Need lots of rubber
thetmeister05...could you give me your wheel and tire sizes, where you purchased them, and any thing required to make them work ie spacers and the such, also if they were made for Camaros/firebirds, or for corvettes. I am installing C6 Z06 brakes front and rear of my 2001 T/A: already have them. I have the brackets for the front, will be getting with KOR3 for the rear brackets. Do you have pics so I could see how your set-up looks?
My upgrades are: 434cuin. LSX, AFR225 w/shaft rockers, F1-C procharged 50mm cogged belt and super pulley, Bell FMIC, FAST 90/90, 88lb. inj, 6spd 4L80E w/2200 stall, Mosier 12 bolt w/3.42, Kooks with 4" exhaust, QA1 sprung all 4 corners, C6 Z06 brakes all 4 corners, 2 Bosch 400LPH fuel pumps, tubular k member, fully adjustable rear panhard and suspension, many more small upgrades. Built for high perf. street. Hoping to hit 1000-1100hp at fly wheel. Most still in work.
Thanks, Steve

replica 09 z06 spyder wheels - 18x8.5f with 255/35r18 and 19x12r with 305/30r19 bridgestone potenza.
IIRC the front offset is 44mm. The rears are 59mm.
I got the wheels from 6LITEREATER Designs.
The fronts were just bolt on, but the clearance between them and the factory ws6 caliper is minimal. Plus they do not stick out far enough for my liking.
The rears, on the other hand, CONTINUE to be a PITA...
I'm pretty sure they're one 1/4" spacer, but not for certain on that. We've pounded the inside of the wheelwells pretty hardcore and there is still some decent rubbing on the driverside going over bumps with 1-2 passengers.
The right side has cut into the outside sidewall in the tire so I have to REALLY roll the fenders. I just got done working them with a bat and it has substantially reduced the rubbing, even with passengers, but it's still not gone yet. We've also cut the bumpstops out.
12's are difficult to fit on these cars, to say the least. I'm hoping to bump up to 325's in the rear (If I continue running these wheels when I replace my tires) but that is pretty much not possible with the current work done to the fenders/wells.

My prior wheels were Torq Thrust 2 VN505 17x11 with 1/4" spacer, which brought the offset to 38mm or 7.5" backspace. Tight Fit, couple of spots needed BFH, and fenders are not rolled. Nitto NT01 315/35 Here's a pic 2002 Trans Am WS6:
Just put my new tires and rims on yesterday. Running Hurst Dazzler w/Lip 17x10.5 in the back 44mm offset, with Nitto 555 315/35s. No spacer, No rubbing issues, fenders are not rolled. Much better fit and I like how the black and chrome compliment the car.
BEFORE: Front TT2's 17x9.5, Nitto NT01 275/40.....Back TT2s 17x11, Nitto NT01 315/35
AFTER: Hurst Dazzler w/Lip 17x9, Nitto 555 275/40.....Back Hurst Dazzler w/Lip 17x10.5, Nitto 555 315/35
Still to soon to drive though. We are still in late winter here. Probably another 3-4 weeks before we have clear roads (no ice).

Very cool guys. Thanks for info. Will probably go with 19x10s on back and 18x9.5 on fronts. I will manipulate the tire sizes to get the rubber to the road. Going to run the OE brand wheels and have to work within their offerings.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I put them on the other day. Fenders rolled, no spacer, no bfh, fit like they were made for the car. Love the way she looks from behind now. Nothing like fat sticky rubber...

I put my C6 Z06 10.5" on the rear of my 98 Trans am, its really close to the inner fender. How much distance is a safe distance with the tire on? Im going to grind it. Have other people ran into this?

You have too much offset. One of the guys above is running 10.5 with 44mm perfectly. You need a 15mm spacer to run safely.
