Help billet specialties not fitting
Picked up some billet specialties off of a local forum. They came off of a 94' z28. Did some grinding on front and rear calipers and still don't seem to fit right. Rears have a lot of material taken of and fronts seem like they keep rubbing.

What brake setup would fit inside of 15" street lite?? I like the wheel hate the 7.5" backspace look. I am ordering a new rear so what brake I get it setup for is open. Thought I could get away with stock brakes and a little grinding.

I have the 15x10 5.5 bs street lite with strange drag brakes. They barley clear, I don't think any less back space would work. No way stock brakes will clear that inner barrel. At least I don't think so by looking at my set up.

ive seen ever the fbody spec, ones require grinding, spacers, longer studs etc, i never found out if you could get the non f bod wheels to fit,i got mixed answers researching that, i have prostars and some said i could fit them, some said the barrels are just to small, imo if ya can fit prostars im sure ya can make it work, just wont be a bolt up n go deal

Wasn't expecting a bolt on deal. But I am ordering a new rear and want housing ends that will work. If I need aftermarket brakes that's fine I just want to figure it out before ordering parts. Btw already have the wheels

Here is a pic of the back of my 15x10 street lite with 5.5 bs

From what i have seen forget trying to use the stock brakes. The wheel diameter behind the center section is about 13.25". A stock rotor is 12" in diameter. That only leaves about .600" of room for the caliper. Not to mention the distance from the face of the caliper to the rear face of the center. Several companies sell smaller diameter brake kits that they claim will work Moser and Wilwood are the ones I was looking at. Not unreasonably priced depending whether you need a parking brake or not and what options you want.
Sorry for the lousy pic-not my cup of tea

If anyone’s having the same issues i had with the billet specialties wheels (winlites in my situation) not fitting in the rear and no chance in h*ll making the stock calipers work, Wilwood makes a kit with E-brake that fits. after purchasing a $1000 brake kit and it not working, going through multiple phone calls with wilwood to see what i can run with these wheels without going drag brakes, wilwood part #140-11401-D FITS! 11” rotor, plenty of room between caliper & wheel, and stock street setup! just to save some people some headaches...

What about LT1 rear brakes? They work with a bit of caliper grinding with Prostars. I just took my Prostars off and put RTS wheels on and I don't think I'd have had to grind anything with these but it was already done. I do have a spacer though, however from what I can see I think they'd have cleared even without it and these are low pad.
