Default VMR V710s going on the bird!

PAGE 2 FOR PICS = https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...ng-bird-2.html

Sup everyone! About to order some VMR v710s for my 99 WS6!
I just want someone to tell me if I'm missing anything.

So the wheels themselves I'm going all around:
18x9.5 5x120, 45+ offset, and centerbore of 72.6.

I also need hub centric rings:
Inside diameter 70.3 and outside diameter 72.6.
I've read that I can get a spacer/hub ring in one for the rears.

For tires I've read either:
275/35R18 or 275/40R18
(I got a hook up with tires, so I'll figure that out when they arrive).

Am I missing anything? - Stoked to get these ordered on Monday
I'm on BMR springs, AND will be getting the fenders rolled.

Just so you know the only difference between 275/35 and 275/40 tires would be the height of the sidewall (40 would be taller than a 35). Personally, I'd run the 40 unless there are clearance issues or a big price difference.

I don't see many VMR wheels on F-Bodies, but I do see them all the time on VW's. They do look good though!

Yeah that's why I put the 35/40, just in case the 40 has clearance issues.

Thanks guys, I'm really hoping it looks unique

If anyone else has any suggestions, throw em my way!

The 275/40r18 might not clear on the front, mine didn't. And those wheels look really nice, cant wait to see some pics.

I like those wheels a lot. Make sure to post up pictures once mounted up. Nice seeing something a little more unique than OE wheels.

I'll definitely post up some pics when I get them
I'm going with the gunmetal over black, on my white WS6, hopefully it looks good.

I would love to see how it looks, but it looks like gunmetal is on back order for a few months,, so I might go with black. Either way they'll both look good!

most of the guys i see running an 18" rim with 275-295s have a profile of 35, havent seen many with a 40 series tire. i will be running a 295-35 on 18x10.5in rims. a 35 series tire is a 25" tall tire and a 40 series is a 26" tall tire on an 18 rim just for reference

Thanks for the info guys!

I'll be placing the order today, after searching around sadly there are no more gunmetal wheels in stock :\ and I can't wait til July/August when they will be in stock.

I'll be ordering the Matte Black and powder coating them down the road if I really want to change them up I'll have pics soon!

go with the 275 40 18 , i has both sizes 275 35 and 275 40 on my 85 and the 40 series rode so much better . i dont know if it will clear the front but the rear will be good.
