Default black out my wheels.

I have a black 2000 Ss M6 and im looking for an apperance upgrade on my stock wheels. Anybody have some good experience with blacking out stock wheels? Got any tips? Plasti dip, powder coat, or primer and paint? What do yall prefer? Post pics of yalls work on your rides.

Go with Plasti first to make sure you like the look of blacked out wheels. then when if you want to make them permanent go with powder coating. It is more durable then paint. Mine when i had them plasti dipped:

I agree; go with Plasti-dip first to see if you're going to like them. If so, then you can always get the powdercoated.

Do you think the stock Ss wheels plasti diped with the silver lip would look good?

I would black out the whole wheel. In my opinion there isn't enough lip for it to look right. If they were CCW's with a 3 inch lip, then yeah, but not with the stock wheels.

what is a good plasti dip brand? I checked my local parts store and they did not carry any.

Pretty sure there is only the Plasti-dip brand. If it's not sold locally, you can always order it online. Just google it. It's relatively inexpensive stuff. I found mine at a local hardware store.

Yup, if autopart stores were to sell Plasti-dip they would make a good chunk of money over it. I don't know why they haven't caught on.
