Lightbulb Cracked rim

Well this completely ruins my week. Started to hear a funny noise the other day, thought it was my parking brake being loose. Take it to my mechanic and we take it for a ride and he thinks maybe wheel bearing. We put it up on the lift and what do I see?? CRACKED SPOKES! 2!!! I put konis on 2 months ago and they are set per the techs recommendations. I can't really recall hitting something other than just driving Southern California's lovely freeways. And I just put new tires on 6 months ago so new set of wheels is out of the question. Have to find an OEM c6 front now

I certainly wouldn't blame the shocks....did you properly torque the lug nuts?

Yeah I'm doubting it was the shock. And I can't recall taking it off in at least 45 days. I'm just surprised it cracked considering it's gm made. You can feel it behind the spoke on each one.

That is scary, lucky you heard it instead of doing a track day.

MY c6 rims did the exact same thing. Broke in the exact same place even. Mine were aftermarket and I think just a poorly made wheel that had seen too much torque. I caught mine pretty quickly too thankfully.
