any 4th-gens out there running 295-35-18's in the fronts?
if you do then I sure would LOVE to know what to you had to do to make it work.
My first thought was the Alcoa's 18X10.5's, bought them, and found out I needed at LEAST a 1" spacer and longer studs, and have also heard that the concentric(?) spacers are quite reliable and
folks have road-raced/autoX'd on them with zero failure.
Hmmm.
but I'd rather get new lightweight wheels and not use spacers or longer studs.
thoughts on both ideas?
if you bought aftermarket wheels what did you get?
I was looking @ the Forgestar F14's. 18X10" +40 offset, between 18-20lbs each tire, but the retailer I was talking to doesn't know the offset that will work for the fronts, they'll definitely work for
the rear, he's thinking they'll work fine for the fronts and will definitely work with my wildwood setup.
I read in frrax that some folks are using less than an inch spacer?
When I tried to fit the 18X10.5's in the front with 295-35-18" KDW2's it was definitely rubbing against the, I don't what know what it's called, the upper A-arm I guess?
Anyway I bought a lot of washers and by the time I was able to clear the upper A-arm, I had 1" of washers and realized the studs were not long enough to tighten the wheels. I also figured
that if I have to use spacers in the fronts I'll use the same for the rears, so that the depth of the tires front and back are the same?
show me pics of your 18" wheels and 295-35-18's!!!
your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Seems a bit much. With a 10" wheel and +40 in the front, just stick with a 275 and it will be perfect. I have seen photos around here of a few guys running 10" wide Forgestars in the front with that size and it looks good. I wouldnt want to deal with the potential problems of a larger tire. I know some people have done it, but you and I both know everyone's mileage may vary. Plus it will be more prone to tugging the steering wheel on the road. That doesnt bother some people, but just FYI.

What mm offset? or what inch back spacing on both the above set ups. I was interested in running a 10.5 on a 295 as well in front. I know It's been done just no info readily available it seems..
