Default Widening a set of fikse fm5's

I am looking at a good deal on a set of all 17x9.5 fm5's. I want a staggered wheel out back, so could I easily just put bigger lip barrels on them? Thanks

Yep, that's one of the benefits of a 3 piece wheel. Order up the new size barrels and go to town. There is nothing complex about disassembling and re-assembling 3 piece wheels.

Depends on what you want the offset to be. If you put a lip on it, itll push the tires out and if you put an inner barrel, itll tuck the tire in. Very simple but make sure you know how everything is measured and what will fit.

Also they are about $300 a piece unless you can find some used ones (hit up Thatcher for some)

Awesome. I didn't really want to have to get new barrels too... But would get new outer lips if I can do that. Here's what they look like on car. Would it look goofy with bigger rings?

Yeah, it'd probably look horrible... You should just send me the info for the seller instead

I would call Fikse to verify if I were spending that type of money. They'll probably tell you exactly the part numbers you'll need.

Its been mentioned. That's the beauty of 3pc wheels.....flexibility. It will work...I assume you're looking for 11" out back?

Fikse sells enough 17x11 wheels for the f-cars, they should know exactly the correct inner barrels and outer lips to sell you to make the right offset.

Here's the scoop on changing 17x9.5 to 17x11 with Fikse wheels made for our cars.

For 17x9.5 Fikse uses 7" inner barrel and 2.5" outer barrel.
For 17x11 Fikse uses 8" inner and 3" outer.

So you have a choice. If you want 11" out back you need to get 2 new inners and 2 new outers. If you want the look of 11", just get 2 new 3" outers and rock 17x10.

I know it seems crazy that the 11s look like they have a much deeper dish, but it's only .5" more.
