Default C6 feels slower after new wheels and tires

I recently put the z06 wide body and 19/20 wheel combo with 285 and 345 nitto invo tires on my 07 corvette. Now I feel like it has gotten slower or is it that it grips better? Before I has stock 18/19 with 245 and 285s

Could be a bit of both...better grip, but with a bigger wheel/tire combo you are dealing with more rotational mass. I don't know if it would equate to a noticeably slower ride though...

Did you use OEM wheels or aftermarket? If you used aftermarket wheels they are considerably heavier than the OEM wheels. Could be why your feeling a little slower.

the larger wheel setup probably weighs more . and im sure they grip better . Time for more mods.

I would say weight, and possibly tire diameter if there's much height difference from you previous rear tires.

I would guess you added a bit of weight, if you have your old set up weigh one then pull one off your car and weigh it. Bigger rims and more rubber x 4 can add up

Probably a combination of more weight and better grip.

you added about 7-10 pounds on each side in the rear for tires alone. When i cut 7 pounds per corner on my car it didnt feel faster or slower, it cornered a little better. Maybe its weight, maybe its grip from the tire. 20" wheels arent light, well most of them arent. take it to the track and find out!!

It's just the added weight you feel. Very common when you run such a wide wheel. I could feel the difference when I went from a 18x10 with a 295 to a 18x12 with a 335 tire as well.

When i had my heads/cam/bolt-on C5 i had aftermarket C6Z wheels on it. When i first bought it it had OEM C5 wheels. Had the C6Z wheels a while then sold them and went back to stockers. Car felt back to normal. It didn't like the aftermarket wheels AT ALL.
