Default Help me decide which drag wheels...POLL

im trying to figure out which wheels would work best with my setup, Weld RTS or Billet Specialties Street Lites....i can't decide between these two pics......my rear is a Strange S60 narrowed 2" per side, planning on 6.5" backspace so they will tuck under.....will be running Hoosier qtp's 26x11.5x15 rears

the front wheels/tires have me lost.....what size do i need and what backspace?.....i want to be able to drive on the street every now and then....i don't mind doing a little grinding on the calipers, but i'd rather avoid it if i can....will probably run Hoosier fronts too....if i go RTS, would i need low pad, medium pad?

or

I too vote for the Welds. Nice thing about both of those wheels is that you can't lose.

i know, they're both pretty sick....if street capable Bogarts were priced like these they'd be on the list too, i love their Bolted RT's

Yeah, those also look great. I was torn between what I have now and the Billet Specialties. I wanted black wheels, as I've always had polished wheels, so that's why I went the Dark Star route. I'm glad I did. They are also so much easier to keep clean. When I had my CCW's, I was spending all my time polishing them.

i priced a set of Dark Stars through Ws6Store and i may still go that route just to save a little coin....this time last year i had a major crush on CCW Classics with black centers.....i think they are some of the sickest wheels out there for our cars

Agree. If I ever sell these wheels, I'll go back to a set of CCW's. If you're patient, you may find a set of the CCW classics for sale on here. Most of the time, the ones I've seen are Vette offset.

I found out that I need medium pad height, but still don't know what backspace I'll need for a 5" wheel up front.....

I went with the welds because I found a good deal on the rears used. However I would have bought billet specialties if the price was righ, or bogarts. I agree with the polished on black look myself. Breaks up the black a bit. I really don't think you can go wrong with either set.
