update on nitto nt555r
ok ive had these drag radials for a year and half now. few months on them last season, stored inside over winter, and have been on em about 4 months this season. several relatively long drives, couple trips to the track, and various cruising and street fun. still look great, havent lost any tread depth thats norlticable, and still hook great. only time they break loose is if its cool/damp out, and when the spray kicks in they chirp then hook. tried measuringvtread depth but its minimal loss, maybe 1/32 out of the original 6/32 gone lol. have put 2000 miles on so far. all around great performance.

seems like over all you've been pleased with them I was thinking I may put a set of nt 555 on my stock rear wheels on my 2010 Camaro ss I had recently started modding I would like to see what kind of quarter mile time I could post before modding anymore its putting down 438 to the rear wheels but was not sure if the nt 555 would stick that good at the drag strip

What about nt05 drag radials? Jegs has some at a good price, but idk if the are daily driver/freak texas rain friendly. Pulling over and waiting out freak rain showers gets old real fast, but I'm not trying to ha e to change tires a time or two every week. I know 555 drag radials are awesome in rain from experience, but no clue on the nt05s or anything mickey thompson has to offer.

I did catch that I was also talking about the nt555R for the back of my Camaro ss ls3 hoping the well help me at the drag strip I cant stay hooked up very well if I stick it they blow right away if I try rolling into it, it does better but still around 3500 rpm to 4500 it breaks loose very easy in first I do think poor track conditions has played part of the role in not being able to hook up but stock p-zeros just aren't cutting it
