Default Looking At 315/35 18 Toyo TQ's

I have been searching and reading for the last 2 days and I keep seeing conflicting info in regards to running this size tire on the C6 zo6 rims that OE wheels sells. I am getting the 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 (56mm offset) rims once they are back in stock. The front tires will be a 275/40 17 and I was wanting to run the 315/35 18 Toyo in the back. I have Koni's and am lowered with BMR springs. The car is a 02 T/A.

When it comes to the rear rims I have seen some people who have had no problem, some run 1/4" spacers with or without 2.5" ARP wheel studs, some run 5/16" spacers with 2.5" ARP wheel studs, and some run 1" adapters. I know I will more then likley need to BFH the wells and roll the fenders. I dont want to remove the bump stops completely but will grind them down.

I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction as to what I will need to do in order to make the 315 work in the rear. Worse case I can cancel the order for the Toyo's because they are on backorder and get a 295 or 305 size tire. Thanks for any info or help!

Ive got the 315/35/18 Toyo TQs. They fit fine as long you're offset/spacers are correct in positioning the wheel. Plan on rolling your fenders.....I had to roll them with 295s, so just you're not going to avoid it assuming the back spacing is outer fender biased.

I think I can help you. Here's what I'm running:

- OEWheels C5 DD 18x10.5/18x9.5 Wheels (Rear 56mm offset)
- Toyo TQ 315/35R18 Tires
- ARP 7708 Wheel Studs
- Eibach 15mm Spacers
- Koni/Strano Suspension

Before I ran the 15mm spacers, I ran a cheapo Doorman spacer (I think it was a 9/16") and I had some slight rubbing on the inner wheel well. It's gone now with the 15mm and I didn't have to modify/cut/trim the bump stops. I did, however, roll the fenders. The wheel/tire is pretty flush with the fender too.

So with the 15mm spacers it makes your wheel somewhere around a +41mm offset correct?

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I'm actually trying to accomplish 02TransAm's install. I have all the spacers, tires, wheels, studs (but no suspension [yet]). I'm curious. The wheels spacers come with studs in the box. Now, are those studs that came with the spacers just throw away studs that I don't need, or is there some thing i need to do with them? Thanks in advanced.
