Default Dark Star Test Fit

Well I finally pulled the trigger on getting some Dark Stars. 17x7 & 15x10. Wasn't planning on getting tires until Spring since itll be snowing soon, but a local guy had some 295/55/15 barely used for a great deal. Just have to grind down the caliper a smidge, and maybe massage part of the wheel well. The angle of the shot makes it look really close to the bumper, but there is about an inch of clearance. Thinking it will be fine.

Just one little teaser shot:

Looks kind of familiar I wish I'd have gone beefier on my rear MT's. I'm running the 275/50/15's. I had contemplated going with the 325's, but the 295's seems to be a nice compromise.

What type of suspension setup are you running?

I'd like to see a pic of the 17x7s up front when you mount them. I run the same on my 2010 Camaro SS.

I wish I'd have gone with the 17x7 fronts as opposed to the 17x9.5's.

Right now the car is on KYB & Strano springs, (BMR/UMI subframes, adj. tq arm, LCAs, etc) changing over to MWC coilovers with viking shocks over the winter most likely.

Picked up some Hankook ventus evo 12s for 60 bucks each that will be here tomorrow. Should have pictures of it finished up either tomorrow night or Saturday.

And all I had to do was grind off a tiny section on the caliper. Everything else fit. Bumpstops are good, wheel well had just enough room, a bit tight in the lower front section.

I do love these rims. Just put a set of 15x10 in the rear (ordered 15x3.75 skinnies in the end of July and they just told me two weeks ago I won't get them until December, not happy). They also told me no calipers would need to be ground down what do ever and just to make sure I ground them down a little bit. First drive on the car I hear a noise. Calipers put a nice ring all the way around the rims. They will be getting a call from me. I'm not happy about this at all. But again nice looking rims

Same thing happened to me. Passenger side wheel only on a 15x10 Dark Star wheel. I blame myself though. I should have made sure it fit before driving it, simple as that. After some minor grinding, problem solved.
