Two very different tires, have you checked nitto's website? The Invo's are a street/handling tire, while the NT555R's are a soft drag tire for the street. The NT555R's will get better traction if that is what you are looking for.

Since most street racing is in a straight line then the 555R is the better choice

I have used both. If street racing is your primary concern the NT555R drag radial is your best choice. Excellent traction, long lasting for a drag radial, and you can still drive them safely in the rain if you get caught out in it. But it is a drag radial, so it won't last as long as a normal NT555 tires will. If longevity is more important than traction, the NT555 tires would be my next recommendation.

The Nitto Invo's are great tires also, but as previously mentioned its an all round street tire. They will ride more comfortably and generally handle better and are quieter than the NT555 tires. But they do not share the same level of traction off the line that the NT555 tires do.

Put the invo's on the front and a pair of 555r's on the rear.

Or better, NT555's up front, and NT555R's in the rear.

I run 555s for F, and 555rs for R. Invos in my opinion are very comfortable around turns

Hmm that isn't very good. I thought they are supposed to last around 6k miles? Pretty much only going to be street driving.

I've had mine on for 5 years now and about 12000 miles. Could possibly get another summer out of them but will probably replace them with some Mickey T's this spring. The n555r's are much better than normal street tires as far as traction goes, but the Mickeys are better.
