I have a 2000 black ss with the factory 10 spoke painted black but I was thinking of powder coating them gloss black. That being said it is about $105 a rim. I was wondering if I should buy new rims and go with a 18 inch wheel, like a c6 zr1, miro 111, or vmr wheels and they would be black also. Help me out guys!

im just going to rough mine up with scotch brite and clean them real good then prime them and rattle can them glossy black with lots of coats and lots of coats of clear.

Also going to use a small vinyl red stripe on the outer lip of the rim

Your car looks good with the black wheels. I'm sure you can find the zr1 wheels with deep dish on the rear for same price. But will have chrome or polished lip.

Thanks for the compliment! Being black, my car is far from perfect and could use a good detailing. It was never driven in the rain before I bought it so there's not a spot of rust anywhere underneath it. Although I did drive it in the rain when I first got it, I don't drive it now unless there's pretty much 0% chance of rain.

It's lowered probably an inch or so, I don't know exactly without measuring the fender heights. It has BMR lowering springs in the back with two urethane isolators under the springs. It has QA1 coilovers in the front which I lowered until I got the stance I was looking for. It's just a little lower in the front now since it settled a bit after being driven around.

I put chrome 10 spokes on mine, loved the look better than the gray or black

I've got the Corvette 17" fronts and 18" rears. I like the way they look in all gloss black powder coat.
