Nitto Nt05 tires??
I need some new tires for the camaro this year, I'm running 275/40r17s up front and 315/35r17s out back. The car is driven only in nice weather and I drive half street and half autocross. For my tire sizes, the nitto nt05 looks like my best option, does anyone run them or any opinions on them?? Thanks!

i am running them on my car in a 295/35r18 on all four corners, only have about 300 mi of street driving on them so far, but i like them. they have good street manners and seem to grip well in corners. havent pushed them too hard yet, but i do plan on getting into autocross this summer so i cant wait to see how they do.

I like mine. The only weakness is cold-weather driving because they harden up and they aren't the best in wet weather (I didn't expect them to be) but overall they perform great and grip really well!

I've only heard good things about the NT05s, but I'd be tempted to try the Mickey Thompson Street Comps which also have a lot of good reviews. They should be a touch less aggressive than the NT05s (300 treadwear vs. 200), but Summit has the 315s for $152 each and the cheapest I've found the NT05s in that size is $208 from Discount Tire. The Street Comps are also non-directional which means you can rotate them side-to-side to get even more life out of them over the NT05s. I'd be running the Street Comps myself but my car is a year-round DD so I need an all-season tire to get around on in the winter.

Don't know how many know but another pretty decent spot to find tires on the web is www.tires-easy.com. I have bought two sets through them and were pretty reasonable.
