ws6 wheels widened to 17x11, 315 DR's, spacer info
275's in the background. Nitto 315 DR's at the bottom
See the welds from the 17x11 conversion; 2 inches added to the inside. I bought them used from a forum member.
they fit flush and look meaty.
I used a 1.25" spacer from summit $90/pair but also used an add'l 1/8" spacer so the lug nuts would be completely sunken into the bigger spacer for a flush mounting surface for the wheel.
CAL-75813 - Wheel Spacers, 1.250 in. Thickness, Billet Aluminum, 5 x 4.75 in. Bolt Pattern, Pair (Mfr. #: CAL-75813)

Did you only do the backs with this width/set up, a la most of the drag race oriented peeps on here, or did you also do the fronts in this width/tire like the frrax members/handling oriented owners do??

thanks
I only did the rears. It was a spur of moment purchase when i saw them listed in eastern section and the seller only had one pair. I'm not sure who did the conversion but the welds looks great. Maybe i'll see what is required to slap them on the fronts (in regards to spacers, etc.).

have you or did you try it with no spacers. A guy i bought my formula from 99hrdtpws6 had 17x11s like yours done by weldcraft and ran 335 35 17 , had to hammer the wheel wells and roll lips , and also cut out some thin metal above the bumpstop , then welded the edges and undercoated it .
I really want to get my 17s done but dont want to run spacers . let me load up pics to show what i mean .

The spacers are fine. I ran them on a few cars. I wouldn't autoX with them but for a straight line on the street, as long as the studs are in good shape, you're golden.
I'm thinking about trying to find 2 more speedlines and having them widened to run a 315 MT on the street.

I had 1.25 adapters (rear wheels aren't widened) just to bump the rims out a little. Looked they were pushed out too far. I went to 1" adapters and it's just about right. I didn't trim the studs. The holes on the back of the wheels (opposite of the studs) fit over whatever sticks out past the adapter.
Good luck and we need more pics of the widened wheels on the car!
