Default GM chrome 10 spokes Q

I have some factory chrome 10 spoke SS wheels. No centers. Thinking about rechroming. They're in pretty good shape. No curb rash. Just a few tiny rust spots and the edges of the spokes are starting to age from being kept outside for 15+ years. Wondering what the set of four is worth and is it worth dropping a grand or more on getting them restored since they've been discontinued? I can't find a whole set anywhere on the internet. I can include pics if needed.

I feel like a good set of factory GM SS rims are worth around $400, whether they're ZR1's or 10-spokes, chrome or painted. Of course, they're only worth what someone will pay for them, and being that I have two sets of painted 10-spokes that won't sell for $400 without tires when I've put them up for sale before, that gives you an idea of where they stand with me and others at this time. A mint set of chrome 10-spokes with garbage tires I wouldn't let go for less than $400.

I figured it would be higher than that for a mint set. The only thing I could find was one wheel in pretty good shape for $350. Hawk's doesn't have a price. Only a "Call for availability".

The reason that you saw a pretty good wheel for sale at $350 is because no one is going to pay that for one of these rims. A full set of nice rims typically go for $400, while a good set with good tires go for $800. That's just my experience with them, those that I've bought and those that I've sold.

Case in point:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...s-w-tires.html

This gentleman wasn't getting $700 for his chrome 10-spokes with basically new tires on them, only 2k miles, and has reduced them to $600. Sometimes location hurts the price too, but this just supports what I stated above.

I would do what you stated in the op and have them rechromed. Plus about prices,Hawks is selling a new set of replica 35th Anniv. SS wheels for 600$ and used originals for 900$. Its all in who wants them bad enough**

$900 dang. I guess I'll rechrome them. I'll probably keep them forever and my kids can use them to restore dads 99 SS lol.

Ive got 6 chrome 10 spokes sitting in storage. Used to have 8. I'm gonna hang onto them for now.
