Default Running Nitto 555 and 555r

I wanna run Nitto 555r slicks for my rears for occasional drag purposes on weekends, but I'm wondering what I should run in the front. Would it be a good idea to just run the normal 555's? BTW my wheels are all 275/40r17

I ran the road race/ax oriented 555R2s on the front when I had the Rs on the back.

I liked that combo, but it did wear out kind of quickly, and did pick up a good amount of 'road shrapnel' as well, due to both front and rear tires having the same sticky compound.

I've been using 555 Extremes (non-drag) up front for almost 6 years. EXCELLENT wet braking tire.....and of course great dry too. I also have the 555's (non-drag) in the rear (315 size) and they definitely hook better than the BFG drags I tried out.

And I get 16,000 miles out of them all......
