Default Need some help, CCW 505A, C6 offset on Fbody

I've got an opportunity to buy some CCW wheels. I have spent a lot of time on the board here trying to educate myself on offset and fitment.
The seller had them on a c6 corvette (not grandsport or z06)

The tires on the wheels are 275/35/18 on the front and 325/30/19 on rear.

I have attached pictures of some measurements he was able to give me.

He feels that he has 19x11 rim with a 2 inch lip in the rear. He measured the backspace (not offset) and he said it measures 9.5 inches. According to the CCW offset-backspace calculator this means offset is 89mm.

He feels that he has a 18x9.5 rim with a 2 inch lip in the front. He measured backspace to be just shy of 8 inches. According to the CCW offset-backspace converter this means his offset is around 64mm.

Is the c6 offset that much different than the fbody and c5 offsets?

I do not think this offset will work with my 2000 WS6.

I am hoping that the measurements or calculator is off somehow.

He is actually asking a good bit, but has taken care of them well so I feel that it is a good option for me. But I'm trying to do my due diligence.

Any help would be very much appreciated. If you have questions I can ask him to help out please let me know.

If someone knows for sure that these will not fit without the standard modifications on my car (BFH and spacers) I would appreciate that info as well. I wont like the answer but I rather do that than waste my money.

I know people have put on c6 wheels on fbodies and I don't see why I can't put on these wheels on my fbody.

Thank you.

C6 offsets probably won't work without a large spacer, especially in the back...

I am perfectly open to using spacers and doing the bfh mod. I just need a few opinions to see if it will work with all that effort. 325s are wide but I've seen guys get them on their camaros and I feel that I have a bit more freedom with the rear panel flare of a trans am.
Thanks

You can fit that tire, mine are 20x11's with 325's. The key will be getting the perfect spacer size that will keep them from sticking out too far as well as not rubbing on the inside. Also, if you are lowered you need to have your adjustable panhard bar dialed in to almost perfect for it to work. Just my $.02, get a set of CCW's that are either F-Body offset or at minimum C5 offset. They will look better and have more of a outer lip, plus you will have less fitment headaches.

Thank you for input.
I agree. I think I will have to just decide at what price I rather sacrifice some of the fit for the wheels. I've just been waiting for a used set to pop up and this finally did.
I am willing to get the Panhard rod. I am willing to mess with spacers. I just don't like hearing that they won't look right after all that effort.
I'll keep everyone in the loop with what I decide.

If you're patient enough, a used set that are F-Body specific will come available. I bought the set of CCW 505a's that I had used, and then sold them to Matt (Furious1) who's still running them now.

As I mentioned, you could also do a set of C5 CCW's, that might open up your search range a bit. They will still likely require a spacer, but less of one.

Default update

The current seller got the tires off. They truly measure to be 19x11 in the rear and 18X10s in the fronts.
These rims were made to have standard C6 fitment.

I feel more confident I will be able to get them to fit. I have talked to a few people who put on C6 Z06 wheels and other c6 fitment wheels.

Does the knowing the true size of the wheel change anyone's opinion?

I agree I would like to wait for C5 or Fbody offset, but been about a year and have had no luck.

thanks

If u already waited a year, get brand new?(: U still have to polish the F out of em. Took me about 100h to make my 505s look brand new. Was in the same condition as the ones u thumbnailed. ;D
