Hey everyone, I'm trying to get the stance right on my 94 Trans Am. Right now I have the stock 17x9s on there with 2 inch wheel spacers on the back and 1.75 inch on the front. I'm want to get a new set of rims but not sure of the size and off set I should get. I was thinking of 18x11s or 18x12s with a 50mm off set. I'd like to eliminate the spacers so that the back looks meaty but I also want the wheels to stick out a little past the quarters. Any suggestions/advice will help. Thanks in advance.

This is how it looks now, I'd like them to stick out maybe a touch more and roll the fenders. Any suggestion on brand/size of rim would be a big help, thanks.

I would recommend some higherend C6 Vette OEM wheels to fit what you are wanting. Unless you are wanting to spend for some highend wheels where you can get them built with custom a custom offset and backspacing. I would stay away from ZR1 wheels as they are likely too big, but C6Z wheels both regular and Spiders look great on a GEN4. Another C6 vette wheel that comes in the same sizes and specs as the C6Z wheels(19x12/18x9.5) are the C6 Grand Sport wheel. I think they are a nice look wheel but aren't overly popular with the Fbody crowd for whatever reason. Both sit basically flush with the fenders even up front. The rears will require some rear wheel-well work to make fit though. I just got my C6Z wheels on my car yesterday. I will post pics when I get it cleaned up and waxed tomorrow.

If you want highend aftermarket wheels I think CCW Classics look really good on a T/A.

I just had my 2 rear wheels....18 x 10.5.....widened to 18 x 12.5" Gonna use 335 or 345 tires.

56mm offset. If you do the same to a set of 50mm offset wheels that you like they would stick out a little bit with 1" spacers.

I used cheap C5 chrome plated deep dish wheels. But their chrome plating is complete ****, falls off in literally 4 months. I went through two sets of 4 wheels....8 damn wheels. They all started losing their chrome in 4 months.

So I had the rears widened.....then sent all 4 to get stripped and re-chromed by a real chrome plating company......I have a total of about $1500.00 in them. But they are BAD-***.........

Factory C6Z's. (19x12 rear/18x9.5 front) with Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires in the factory C6Z sizes. (325/30-19 rear and 275/35-18 front) No spacers but many clearings to rear wheel-wells.

Good deal. I've never seen GS wheels on a Bird but think that they would look really nice on one especially if you buy OEM wheels and not knockoffs. If your cars is black with good paint and you go chrome I think that it would look very clean and sexy while still looking menacing. Just prepare to had to do some clearing on the rear wheel-wells to make them fit as an untouched Fbody rear wheel-well will not house a 19x12 with a tire wide enought to fit those wheels properly. It takes some work. Also make sure your stance is right as you may not like the look of larger wheels at the factory ride height.

Ok. I think I'm probably gunna go with all black. I may add a gold pinstripe around the rim because I'm getting the gold bird for the hood and I'm repainting the car black with a gold pearl. I already raised back but i know I'm probably gunna have do a lot of work with the wheel wells but it's definitely worth it. How is your ride with the 19s because I hear mixed reviews about getting an even more rough ride?

Cool. Car should look pretty menacing when you're finished.

It probably rides a little harsher than it did with the factory wheels and tire size, but not much worse. Just make sure you've got adequate sidewalls. I'm running OEM spec'd Z06 tire sizes so the tire is match well to the wheel size. If you are not running enough sidewall it would be a harsher ride. Still I have Koni SA shocks and BMR springs so my car is a stiff riding car regardless but it's still very manageable and acceptable for someone looking for a good handling performance street car.

BTW 325/30-19's came factory on some models of C6 Vette and a BMW or two and nothing else I know of so not everyone makes tires for them (even though most highend tire brand do) and it makes them costly. If you are looking for a good budget tire in a 325/30-19 that performs pretty well for a street tire I recommend look at the Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires. Cooper is an American company, they make M/T's street tires that everyone likes, and they are made in Arkansas. They can be had for a little over $200. I would love some Michelin PSS tires but they are a lot more money.

These are also the wheels I had widend and re-chromed.

I plan to install my single turbo kit and the new wheels/tires in about 4 months when I get back home from the Middle East where I work.

Those r sick. I found a set of the spiders with tires for $1000, I think I might buy them. The grand sports like those r really hard to find in 19x12.
