Default What 315/xx/18 tire brand for good traction on street?

Looking to put 315s all around on the car but can't find a good kind to go with. Must be on an 18" rim in order to fit over my brakes. I could go to a 19" if absolutely necessary but not sure I want my tires that tall..
Was originally looking at Michelin pilot super sports, nitto nt05 or hankook rs3 but none of these go wide enough on 18" rims.
These will be used on the street only, doing lots of corner carving, no track time. Car should be making upwards of 1000whp so looking for something sticky enough to keep good traction at high speeds. A summer only tire is fine, don't plan on driving while it's raining so tire doesn't have to have good wet traction.

Also, for a 315 tire would a 10.5" rim work or is an 11" required?

I have Toyo proxes in 315 35 18's on 10.5" rims and they hook awesome on the street. Its about the only tire you can get in a 315 on an 18 rim.

How much mileage would you like to see on one set of street tires?

I believe the OP stated ......Street only, higher speed corner carving, and no track time. That really does not sound like drag radial territory. Have you ever tried corner carving with a squishy drag radial? It's actually quite unsafe. The R888 would fit his needs as jake stated. Especially in the size the OP requires. Not to mention more stability and plant by not having mismatched tires front and back. Not as much in diameter, but more in size, sidewall, and compound. Speaking strictly in a road race/handling application. Just my opinion

Musta missed that part lol. My mistake. Read the 1k hp and threw me off. I've seen a lot of people in this section lately recommending those when they're not a good option.

What are opinions about a 315 on a 12" wide rear wheel?

The only downside to the R888 is the noise.

But it's going to hook a lot better than a real street tire. Might as well just give up if you want to use a regular tire.
