Default Before & After Pics: Pewter Z28 with 35 LE SS rims

I got a great deal from Wildman on this forum.
I bought his 35 LE SS rims and slapped em on my Z28.
It looks like a totally different car from my stock rims.

Those look great! Nice choice! That's like the only pic I've seen of a non-35th anny SS with those wheels.

Thanks! I am really pleased with the results.
As far as the cost, I searched the forums for about 6 months looking for someone to sell their used ones. The dealers wanted $1200 for a new set and I found another place that would sell em for $800 but I justed checked their website and they dont have them up anymore.

I bought the rims with Goodyear tires (50 - 75% tread left) for $700 which included shipping. I could not pass that up. Wildman on this forum sold em to me and he was great to deal with!

Thanks alot! I wanted something different and I knew they only made those rims for one year so I patiently waited for a used set. I actually like the looks of these rims on my pewter car better than any aftermarket I could find. Thanks again for the comments!

Thanks! I really like the look. Wanted something different than the standard aftermarket rims. They were pretty hard to find, used or new, so I jumped at the chance to get some.

Thanks! I added another pic of what the car looked like with the stock 16" rims. I agree, I have heard it is alot of $ and time to repaint the silver wheels. I was fortunate to run across Wildman and that he gave me such a good deal.

Wow Thomas, that is incredibly nice looking!!! I never thought they would look so good. Now it makes the deal that much sweeter.
I bet your wife was happy too.
That just looks amazing.
Well, it was a pleasure doing business with you, and I would recommend you to anyone to do business with.
Take care,
Paul

Sweet ride! Love those rims!
How did you acquire your rims and how did you stretch'em to 17x11's?
I would really like to get the ultra z hood but that is going to have to wait for a while. Your car looks niiicce!

Paul (Wildman). Thanks! I was going to send you a pic in the email this week but since you saw the thread I won't bore you with the pics. The rims look great, just what I was looking for! The wife, she has not said a word to me about the rims. I even have the old ones stacked in the garage and not a word. My boys have noticed em but I really dont think the wife knows the difference I had several motorcycles in the past and modded each one of them while they were sitting in the garage and she never noticed or said a word.
I have been spreading the good news about your selling techniques. The rims arrived spotless and what a deal! Best mod I could have done to the car. If ever we meet I will buy the rounds

Those wheels look great on your car! I like them better on your car than when mine had them.

My thoughts exactly.
Now I want them back!!!
Just kidding. The stretching of the rear wheels would be a good future mod for you Thomas.

Thanks, 2_Wacko & DanDan appreciate the comments!
BAIN,
When you stretched the rims, did you have any fitment problems (ie: rubbing, offset, etc) I looked at the Wheels America website and it sounds tempting

Thanks Nine Ball, I really like the combo. The black and pewter go real well together. You just can't beat the 35th Anniversary SS, its a sweet car.
