There was some guy a while back who had them powder coated black. It was alright, not something I would do.
To find the post it would be a major pain, try doing a search for the key words "black" & "spoke" or "black" & "ss" in the appearance section.

I can't remember his name, but he painted the centers, and left the lip silver. Actually there are two. One is red and the other is either pewter or silver. I believe the latter is an SS. Either way- good luck.

I've been toying with the idea of doing those wheels in black. This finding serves only to solidify my desire to do so.. I assume powder coating would be the way to go over having them painted..?? Suggestions??

thx.. Now to finish up the outside of my car which grill? I want a billet, and they come polished, brushed, and black.. I was thinking polished or brushed to contrast, but would the black look better maybe??

i know i read a post a while back where a guy had black chromed his y2k corvette wheels, they looked sweet, i thought. wonder what it would cost to have the ss wheels black chromed? that would probly look better than just painting them?
