Default Tire Pressure Question

I just got a new set of KDW's on my 02' SS. What tire pressure should I be running. They had them set at 40 psi, which I though was too high. I now have the fronts at 35 and the rears at 32 and it looks like the sidewalls are bulging at the bottom.

You should follow the sticker on the inside of the driver's door. I believe it is ~32 psi.

30 psi cold is the recommended tire pressure. It is on the placard on the drivers side door.
Most tires will have a slight bulge in the sidewall when properly inflated.

I have a set of 35th LE rims and the door says 30psi cold. I put em at 32 psi all the way around because most of my commute is highway and they seem to trac better on the highway.

I have them set at 34 front and 32 rear (hot) and they feel perfect. I can't believe the difference from the stock tires, like night and day...

Those pressures should be pretty good.

I run my 285/40-17 KDWs in the rear and in front 275/40-17 both at 33 lbs and find that to be best for me all around. Glad you like the purchase I'm one my 3rd or 4th set since buying the car new in '00. I ran those Godyears out and never looked back, I've never been a big fan of their tires.
