Default Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

I am looking to get really good performance tires for my T/A and I have always liked Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. All I need to know is if they are good tires. And can handle Street Racing. If they aren't as good as other tires post which tires are better.

These are great tires. Good traction in all weather except snow, dont know havent tried the snow thing. Ive had them for about 8000 miles now and they are great.
Also, as others Im sure will tell you. USE THE SEARCH BUTTON.

I have been extremely happy with mine. They are the best tires I've used (6 sets).

They hook in any condition, they are quiet, and they are smooth.

I agree with everone above. Good tire with great handling and traction. They grab pretty good in the rain too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another set.

They are AWESOME tries. I cannot spin the tires in 1st anymore, unless I let out the clutch really fast or just dump it. The cornering they offer is insane, I've yet to break them loose on a turn (except when its wet). They are also supposed to have aweosme wet traction, but it hasnt rained here yet to test them. They also have a very good tread life. The only other tire I would consider are the BFG KD's or KDW's.

They can be described in one word....... Awesome!! I've had mine for 5K miles and still cannot believe how well they hook for a street tire. At my power level on the stock F1's if I dropped the hammer in 1st gear at any speed they would simply break loose and spin till halfway through 2nd gear. With the D3's I have no worries breaking the tires loose at any speed. As to treadware in 5K miles they look new. A much smooter rolling and quieter tire than the stock F1s. Wet traction is awesome. This summer I encountered alot of standing water on the freeways and these tires cut right through with no problems. They are the best performance street tire I have ever had before.

They are great street tires. Having been in the 275-315's sizes with my ZR1 years ago these tires have been the best I have dealt with. However, do not use them at the drag strip. You'll be dissappointed. FWIW, I got over 25k miles on the rears (since I can't rotate them) and 16 burnouts and passes at the strip trying to use them up.

I'm just curious how you have gotten 25k miles on a set of tires in 6 months.

Like everyone else is saying, these tries are great. I just replaced my stock F1's with a set of GS-D3's and the difference is incredible. I can push the car so much harder in the corners and they hook like crazy. Definitely can't go wrong with these tires.

Wow, I didn't realize that they had been out that long. Did you buy the tires before the car? It says your car was born in 04/2002.

TireRack.com has reviews on the tires. I think these have the highest rating. Some people on there are idiots though and don't know what they are talking about. They think since the wet traction rating is almost as high as the dry, that they should grip in wet as well as they do in dry.... There are a lot of good reviews on there though.

i wonder if atlanta has a tirerack place that will honour those prices.

$172.60 for bfg's at tires.com or 199 for these, seems logical to go with these but not if im jacked up on install.

all the local tire places want $20/tire to rotate/balance/install that sux a big one.
