Default tire question

Ok, for startest I got a ticket today doing 78 in a 70, BS. I had my cruz set at 75. I just bought BFG drags 3 months ago (still in good shape for 10k). The size i had before was 245/16. Well, the tires on the back are now 255s. Would this tire comb make that much differance? "Very glad not to be caught doing 140 the day before! And first speeding ticket with having a trans am and z-28.

Larger tires should actually slow the speedo down, reads 75, actually 72, smaller speed it up. Are they taller than the stock ones??

245s to 255s, that should not be 3 miles per hour. I was in lifted trucks and had a tacoma with 12 1/2 inches of lift and 35s. That was 4 inches off of stock with drive shaft angles binding, and still only had 4 mph off. I am just happy not to have a ticket for no cats and true duals with long tubes.

Larger tires will cause the speedo to be off the other way. Larger tires will slow down the speedo by really going faster. I was just wondering if anyone has had 3 mph off with switch to 245 to 255s.
