Default drag radials hold w/3600 stall?

Will drag radials be able to grip with these mods: 98 TA, Fully built 4L60e with all the goodies and a vigilante 3600 stall, ported throttle body and off road y with 2 cutouts. I might be getting this tranny and want to know if drag radials will spin... I don't really want to get slicks right now.

I think so. This is my car with 275/50/15 BFGs. QA1s all way round. And this is only a 1.72 60ft..dead hook@3500rpm dump.

You'll be fine, I had a Vig. 3600 w/ 373's and Nittos at 20-24psi. They work.

Charles

How wide are the wheels and what back spacing? Are you running any spacers?

Looks good.

I ran on Nitto's 315/35/17 when I had a 4L60e and a TH350, I was using the Yank SS3600 in the 4L60e, and a CircleD custom 3600 for the TH350..

When I had my TCI 3500 on Nitto 315 DR it was a crap shoot as to if it was going to hook. If the track is preped good it would hook decient, but never consistant. I got tired of the frustration and went to a ET Street.

Well, I got the new tranny and stall... still looking for rear wheels and tires because i'm on stock 16in wheels and street tires . I wanted to go with drag radials because I was told slicks would slow me down top end. I don't want that... my top end isn't very good as it is. I am looking for the best drag radials for track use only.

From what I have seen the new MT Drag radials are doing well maybe give them a try.

Will the Drag Radials hook? Sometimes. The rest of the time you will be

Nitto's are great street tires. For the track, get a real tire. ET Streets, QTP's or slicks.

This is coming from someone that ran 11.14 @ 121 (1.55) on 315/35/17 Nitto's last Sunday.

I went a 12.46 @ 106 with a 1.62 60' and then came back around and ran a 11.49@ 115 with a 1.58 60' on spray both on 315/35/17's and to top it off my best 60 to date is with nittos with a 1.58 and then the best with et streets is a 1.59 or 1.60

I did that with ported 02 manifolds, a vig 3600, an flp level IV tranny, ls1 edit, open cut out and free mods
