Default What do you think about the factory, bronze C5 magnesium rims?

I like them, because they're already bronze and will go well with my car's color. They're also magnesium and, therefore, should be relatively lightweight. But they're also a little expensive. Check out this link:

Here's a pic:

I know that the fronts are 17x9.5's and the rears are 18x9.5's. Does anybody know what their offsets are and how much they weigh? Thanks in advance for the info.

I love those wheels. Look great and are fairly rare . The price is the only problem, but if you got the cash I say go for it .

SOM.

I just did some research on the wheel and found out (correct me if I'm wrong) that they weigh no more than 13 lbs. each; the rear 18x9.5's had 65 mm offsets; the 17x8.5 fronts will fit with no need for spacers; they're no longer being sold in 18 inch sizes, but in 17x8.5's; a set costs $2990.28 at http://www.sdpc2000.com and $2702.91 at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com...

they are very light.13#sounds about right.the only thing is they have been know to have problem holding air.something to do with the magnesum.i almost bought a set a few months ago but one of them would hold air and the tire had a good bead and the rim wasn't bent or anything.
i would do a search on one of the corvette sites about this problem before spending that much money

Just get some drag wheels. Look better, lighter, and cheaper

Those wheels are badass. I've seen them on a Porsche color green SS before. Very nice. They will probably look great on your SOM car aswell.
