how do they take corners? not that im autocrossing but i will hit a few corners fairly hard every so often. I think of drags, and i think of soffffft side wall, and i wouldnt want to lose a tire around a corner

No Prob, what is a good compliment tire for the front with nitto 315's in back? or does it even matter..should i just go to tire rack and read the reviews and select from that?

I have Nitto 555R 315 in the rear and Nitto 555RII 275 in the front! My car has more 600rwhp on turbos only and can handle very very well with my setup! All I change at the drag strip is rear tire press. Stay away from rain and snow! But dry streets are awsome!

I don't have anywhere near 600rwhp, but this is the setup I have too, with my puny ~400rwhp...
Works great - street, strip, and autocross...Rain isn't *too* bad when the 555Rs are fairly new - they do tend to hydroplane some though - mostly because they're like 4 feet wide...

yeah I was scared shitless when it started raining one day I was out! So I was driveing like a old lady! But it was fine, just had to control my right foot and trub the TCS on. No big deal.

a few seconds of 
= very sticky DRs. i've put 1k miles on them and have had zero problems in the rain. handle great on the street, handle even better once you have been driving around a bit just to get a little heat created.

I went from bald 275 Kumho's in the rear to brand new 315 Nitto DR's and the difference was night and day. Felt like a whole new car. And I've got sfc's, lca's, torque arm, panhard rod, and eibach pro kit lowering springs.
I can floor my cammed formy around a turn and dead hook! And no more accidental chirpage of the rears, you've got to intentionally try to get these tires loose. I like my Nitto's on the street, but am looking forward to switching to BFG's soon (from what I hear, the BFG's hook even better).
