what is the biggest tire i can put on my stock 16 inch rims.(2000 a4 ls1) i now have 245/50/16, can i go bigger on my 16 inch rims.......

I would personaly not go any bigger than 275's. There are alot of people running bigger than that, 285 295, which could be perfectly fine. 275's are perfect for f-bodies.

Man, the biggest tires I could find were 255/50's. I see your delima, I must have been thinking of stock SS wheel's which are 17's. I'm sure someone is smart enough to make them and if not, I'm opening up a tire manufacturing business. I'm going to some go-fast shops tomorrow so I'll find out for ya.

On the Z28's the stock rim is 16x8, so the widest you would want to go is 255/50. A 275 tire on a 8 inch wide rim will be unsafe unless you just run the car in the 1/4 and not on the road taking curves.

you cant get anything bigger then a 255 for a 16" anyways. unless you go to a standard sized tire like an et street or something... you can put a 11.5 on those... i've driven with them before its fine...
