LT1 Brake swap to clear 15 inch wheels???

LT1 Brake swap to clear 15 inch wheels??? Has anyone ever swapped to the smaller LT1 brakes rather than grinding LS1 calipers and using spacers and such to fit a set of Welds on???
i imagine i could find an LT1 owner looking to upgrade to the LS1 setup and if it's a straight-forward swap (which it would SEEM to be, barring any electronics disasters with ABS or something), it probably wouldn't cost me a dime.
how can i make it work???
