Default Is it just me, or do my new 17/11 TT2s look more like 17/10.5-10

i put my TT2s on a couple weeks ago, and to me they just dont look like 11s in the rear. i ordered 17/9.5 in front, 17/11s for the rear and i have 315/35 555R nottos on the rear wheels. i dont know why but to me they look more like 10.5 or even 10s from the rear.
what do you think? is just me?

Also when your measuring the width of a rim would you measure from the tip of the lip to the other (blue line)? or from where the tire sits (red line)?

Nittos run very narrow compared to other 315's.

^Was going to say the same thing. My TTII's almost measured to be 12 inches across without the tire.

for some reason nittos 35 sidewall resembles a 40-45 sidewall everytime I see them in comparison to other low pros!

you need to measure on the "red line" in this guy's picture. mine were 11" right there, and about 12" from lip to lip. if you measure the diameter of the wheel from lip to lip, you will find them to be about 18 inches, but they are really measured in diameter where the tire rides, which is right at 17".

the tread width of the 315 nittos on the 11" TTII's was about 11" of actuall rubber on the road. 12" overall.

Very true, after having Nittos I put BFG DR's and now have rubbing issues that weren't there with narrower Nittos

Yeah it's definitely your tires. Put a 315 GS-D3 next to a Nitto and the Goodyears are gonna look HUGE compared to the Nittos.

I say the same thing. It is your tires. I put 305/35-18 NITTO drags on my SS and it didn't look much different from my 275/40-17 Goodyears. I was expecting a huge difference. But, they still looked good, as do yours.

Looks about the same as mine with 17x11 ZR1s and 315 Nitto DRs. I tried posting a picture, but my host is currently down. Feel free to check it out if you want though, here is the album: http://public.fotki.com/jaime302/cars/z28/zr1_wheels/
