Default Advise:Does a 17X11 ZR1 wheel with a 50mm backspace fit under 02 Z-28 without problem

Hey all:
I spoke with a rep from dantai wheels and he stated that the 17X11 ZR1 wheel with the 50mm backspacing will fit on back of my 02 Z-28 without having to modify anything at all. Is this true?
I am planning on installing the Nitto drag radial 315/35/17 which do run a little smaller then the average size 315/35/17.
Also my car is lowered with the Eibach pro kit 1.2"
So everyone that has ran or does have these wills chime in please.
Thanks

With the nittos it will be a lot better than with other tires, but you still may have to use a big f hammer a little bit.

I have the exact rim/tire on my car right now. I also had it on there with Sportlines, and the only thing I had to do was hammer out some of the inner fender where it rubbed. No other problems.

What about the bump stop mounts? Did you have to do any grinding? My wheels and tires are on the way and I grounded down the bump stop mounts just to be safe...

i had 18x10.5 zo6's and instead of grinding down the bumpstops i jacked the rearend up by the differential so the wheels were mounted w/the suspension loaded and the bumpstop just sits inside the rim a little

nah no grinding....they would only hit the bumpstop if I used a jackstand and lifted the body.....never hit while driving.

Any rubbing up front? Any pictures directly from the front?

I would be sure to have a panhard rod and rear control arms on the car. The factory panhard rod can flex and the tires scrub in turns.

no rubbing whatsoever in the front... there is still plenty of room in the front.
As for the rear, massaging was needed and less room in the rear compared to the front.
I can see 335s fitting easily in the front... not in the rear.
