Question Slicks On A Trans Am????

I was wondering if anyone knew what the biggest size slicks I could put on my 2000 trans am. My buddy has some 26X11.5X15 and I needed to know if they would fit...I beleive that my stock WS6 rims are 9.5 inch wide and with P275/40/17 there is not much room on the inside of my tire before it will hit the rubber shock jounce. Any info would be helpfull.........Jason

You know if you use a 15 inch rim you will have to grind the calipers unless you go with some bogart rims. I run 26x11.5x16 on my 98 TA, they hook great.
