Default 17 x 11 ZR-1 replica question?

I am looking at a pair of 17 X 11 ZR-1 Replica wheels 50mm ofset. Also have a friend with some Nitto 275 40 17's will they fit on the 11" rims. from the stickey above it looks like only 315's will fit on these rims.

Well you probably wouldn't want to put 275s on an 11" rim, that will not look right and will be a beotch to get on...although they were designed for that.

On the other hand Nittos are narrower than BFGs so you would be fine, though with an 11" rim a 315 is a better bet in the long run if you race...

I ran 285 Goodyear GS-D3's on 11" rim, but that type of tire is wider than most. With them on the rims it was completely flush tire/rim.

Thats the size Im running. The 285's look fine on an 11 inch rim. I dont think I would stick a 275 on the 11... The 285 is the only other option besides the 315 for the 11 inch rim IMO

275's on a 11" wheel will not work. A 285 will . . .

Hi Folks
I have 17X11 Replica rims that will have 315/35-17 BFG Drag Radial. I now have 17X9.5 with 275/40-17 Goodyear. I am would check with the tire MFG - I am not sure about 17X11 with smaller tires.

Check the specs on the tire you buy. It will tell you a rim size range. Most 275's fit on a 9-11 inch rim per the manufacturer. Ideal size rim for most 275's is a 9.5 ". I wouldnt stick a 275 on an 11 inch rim, even if they say you can...

Not doing it after checking into it. I had a chance to get some 275 nito's cheap and some 17x11's also. Wanted to see if the combo would work. I really want to find a pair of Chrome ZR-1's to match my other rims, when I swap off street tires for DR's.

If you wanna go with the whole stretched tire/euro look then slap those 275's on there.

I'm going to find out as early as next weekend this answer and I have many opinions but here goes...I have 17x11 Fikse FM/10 wheels due to ship any day...here's the meat I have 315/35 F1 G3s and I meant to add the wheels are being manufactured with a 43mm offset...I also lowered with Hotchkiss springs about 1" (they claim) maybe a bit more...think i'll rub the tubs or fender "edges" with the Goodyears? I'm just looking for opinions if no "emperical datafied" answers are available.

May have to roll fenders, maybe? +43 will stick out more than +50. Its hard to tell every car is different...

In addition Camaros have tighter clearances than Firebirds because of larger wheel flares.
