Default 315's on a 12" rim too small?

i would really like to find some 335/35/17 's that would hook good and handle decent but i cant find anything.then i need a matching 245/45/17 to be close to the same height its a little shorter.i think the 315's might not look right with the tread being narrower than the 12" rim. i already have the 12" rims so im not sure what to do?

BFG for example says theirs fits. It has a 12.6" section width. Now if you are talking about a Nitto, then yes it is too small . . .

which bfg are you talking about the drag radial? if so i want the tread pattern of the tire to be at least 12" the width of the rim anything smaller i think will look goofy.i was going to look into if goodyear makes a 335/35/17 in there competition series ? otherwise i wonder what all the older vipers are running for tires that is what size they were!

I'm willing to put money on it that a 315/35/17 GSD3 will fit. Those tires are ******* monsters.

not too small... they'll fit nicely.
