curb rash remedies

Unhappy curb rash remedies

How can I go about fixing about an inch of curb rash on a polished z06 rim?

Most wheel shops can get it fixed.

sand it out with 180 grit then 320 then 600 then 800 then 1000. The last 3 you should do with a wet /dry type of sand paper then polish it with a good compound just like you would use for buffing paint ( 3m products is what I prefer) Then final polish with alcoa wheel polish like the truckers use.

Do the stock wheels not have clear coat? Do you have to worry about this if they do? I bought my WS6 with some bad rash that I would like to fix. Thanks.
