For street:

275 Nitto 555RII autocross = 9
315 Nitto 555R Drag = 10 (only because it is wider )

275/315 Sumitomo HTR Z = 5 when new, 3 when worn and 1 when worn and in the wet.

First tire's
275/35/18 kumho Escta Supra's 5
Present tire's
285/35/18 Goodyear GS-D3's 10

But I'm comparing to Kumho's
The Kumho's don't even compare. With GS-D3's no more spinning from 3500rpms to redline in first gear.

Sorry I guess I should have clarified that. That's launching from a dead stop at about 1500rpms and hooking good until about 3500rpms and then the tire breaking loose and spinning all the way to the redline. That's on the street also.

Yeah, that sounds like a crappy tire for sure.
My Sumitomo 315's would start to break loose at about 5k or so.
I can't hardly break loose my Nitto 315's. Dropping the clutch at 3k might break them loose, or it might slip the Z06 clutch. So lots of grip. I just take off easy now to prevent breaking my stock rear.

So the new D3's grip from 1500-redline. Sounds much safer to me.

Yeah and they slip my clutch every once in a while when power shifting into 2nd. But of course I'm still on the original with 102k miles on it

275/40/17 BFG G-Force TA KDW - Ill give them a 9.
There really a nice tire with good grip and awesome handling. With my new TT2's, Im going with a G-Force Drag in the rear either 295 or a 315.
