Thumbs up Mickey Tompson e-mailed me today!!!!

I have been looking for a drag radial or slick for my 17-11" rims ,The only thing that i could find is a 315-35-17 Nitto's & BF-GoodRich,These just don't hook with a M6 I need a ET-Street or Drag so I e-mail Mickey Tompson yesterday and they told me that there going to introduce a ET Street or Drag at SEMA this year that will fit our 17"-11" rims and they said they will be avalible for use at the beginnig of next year I need them now, but i guess not so i guess i'll haft to wait

He's making reference to being able to control the power and transfer it to the ground with a 315 street tire.

No, he's not. Tally is making reference to some people using 17x11's rims, with 26/1150/17 MT ET Streets- apparently succesfully - in spite of MT's recommendation against the 17x11. I don't doubt- that some have used that rim, on that tire, with success; but to imply that a few weekend warriors success overides the manufacturer- Mickey Thompson- recommendations, is far fetched. (actually, it looks more like "sour grapes")

Is it dangerous? I forget MT's exact reasons (I had emailed MT on the matter a few months ago, and since deleted the email).... could be as simple as trouble mounting- they did say "uneven wear" - to possibly something life threatening- like breaking the bead in a corner.

I like 315's because they fit well on 11" rims with out any kind of stretch issue ,that will keep the side wall soft for a little wrinkly at take off and are fat and plenty of tread on the ground for traction on the street were traction can be a problem .I see more street raceing than i do at the track.
