backspacing help
Could someone please school me on backspacing, i dont understand it. Also, I was wondering if a 17x11 inch ZR1 wheel with a 56 back space on the rear would fit my '95 F-Body? The front wheels would be 17x9.5 ZR1's with a 38 backspace, would that be alright?
Thanks alot to anyone who can help me
BTW:sry if this should be posted in the official thread but i dont wanna grave dig a thread thats over a year old.

the numbers you quoted (56 & 38) are'nt the backspace. They are the offset. These are 2 totally different things. The offset # is the distance in mm from the mounting surface (the inside of the wheel that sits against your rotor) to the center of the wheel. The backspace is the distance from the mounting surface to the inside lip of the backside of the wheel ( like 6.5 -7 inches) The backspace on the wheels you are talking about will work, I think, but I think you may have to use the BFH mod on the rear, there is some info in the "does this fit" and "wheel offsets" at the top of this forum.
