Default Advice Does 17X9.5 Privat wheels with silver center and polished lip look like rice?

Hey all:

I have a 02 Burgandy Z-28 lowered with the Eibach pro kit.

I just installed the Privat wheels 17X9.5 with the silver center with polished lip. I have had a few people say they dont like it plus that it even looks like a ricer type of wheel. I would post pics but have no idea how to.

So what do you all think?

IMHO there are some nice wheels that can be classified as "ricer" wheels. In that case the HP Evos would also be classified as a ricer wheel. What sets these wheels apart is that they look bad *** on our cars because for the most part fbodys are nice looking cars.

I've seen that you posted when you first thought about getting them. So that means that you must really like them. After all they are a sweet *** wheel. BTW I'm still waiting for mine to get here.

Bottom line, don't listen to what these haters say.

I don't think they are ricer wheels. They look pretty good to me.

The word "rice" is way over used. I think they look fine. Not my favorite wheel, but they don't look bad.

I would not say they are a 'ricer' wheel. I have em on my Trans Am and one thing I can say for sure, they look a LOT better in person then they do in pictures. Its hard to get a good shot of the lip/dish look of them in a picture.

The only thing that bothers me a tiny bit is there is a hubcap out available at the local auto parts stores that looks similar to the design. But when you see the wheel in person, there is no mistaking it.

Has a nice 'mild' but 'muscular' look to it if that makes any sense...

Exactly what I was going to post about. That hubcap is the devil. I don't know how many times I have seen those on a little economy car sitting on 13s. I don't want to have my rims mistaken for those.
