How good are these tires? They have a treadwear of 400 so that makes 'em pretty hard and slick compared to other tires doesnt it?

I ask cause im concerned about wheelspin, I cant spin my tires in first from a roll at any speed they just hook and go, is this normal? the tires are 275/40/17s with about 60% tread left. Ive heard others say that their stock LS1s had no traction in first .l

I have these tires on my beater car so my feedback isn't exactly what you're looking for. I bought them for their treadware and rain/light snow capabilities and I am very impressed with them.

They do seem to handle pretty well, but as far as straight line traction, I can't tell you much based on a 94 Mazda MX6 lol

They dont grip worth a damn. Spinning everywhere and after 20k miles they still have lots of tread left. If its wet or cold out, good luck getting traction with only half throttle. I am honestly scared to drive it in the rain, I just know that I would be all over the road. I did not choose these tires, they were on the car when I got it.

On a cool morning, 40 degrees or so, I can break them loose when I floor it at 70 mph in 3rd gear...and my car only has 324/340 at the rear wheels.

I Also noticed when compared to other tires, they seem skinnier than other tires that are "suppossed" to be the same size. I had a pair of Pirelli 265/40 17's and they were wider than these which were 275/40 17's, wtf?!

What?!? Theres no way in hell my car would spin the tires at 70 on any dry surface! What size are yours?

My dont seem to be lasting to long either with about 60% tread left with only 5,000miles.

HAha, I kid you not, they were new at when I got the car 20k miles ago and they still have 40% tread left. Most of the miles are highway but when its stop and go traffic they get pushed to their limits.....They are the standard Camaro SS sized tires, 275/40 17. When I say they spin at 70, it only works on a cold morning like 40 degrees or cooler. Days like today (80+ degrees), I had a hard time spinning all of 2nd
