Tire help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am looking at new tires for my 2000 ss i am currently looking at nittos 555 for the front and 555r for the rear, i am wondering if it would be best for what i am looking for which is good in the rain and sticky when i need it. the only thing that concerns me is that the tire wear and of your guys running this??? Or if you have anyother ideas i am open for help i am running a 275/40/17 is that the most i can go????

275 is recommended, on the stock wheel. 285 is doable, although the overall diameter is incorrect and will adversely affet your speedo.
A drag radial IMHO sould not be considered for "rain" I would look at good quality street tires such as the new F1 GSD3.
If you are stuck on DR's do a search on Nittos . . .
