Default VERY dissapointed after new rims

Well, I finally got my rims (TT2's 17x9.5) and my tires mounted up, and they look great. But I'm very dissapointed with the ride quality. The car wants to pull to the left and the steering wheel gets a shake going on at 45mph+. Could this be an alignment problem? I almost want to sell them and put my stock snowflakes back on.

I'd get an alignment just to be sure, but perhaps the wheels were not balanced properly. Where did you buy them?

I bought two wheels from TomZWheels and had them balanced at a local car dealership.

sounds like the alignment or balance. i'm sure the wheel itself would not cause the problem, and if it were anything on your car you would have felt it with the snowflakes.

Yep probably got balanced wrong..Another thing ya might wanna check is to see if they are directional just make sure that one isnt put on backwards never know. Just my .02 and id think if it was alignment it would have done it before the knew wheels and tires to.

Are the TT 2 hubcentric? Maybe you need some hubcentric rings there! Just a thought...

Alignment will NOT cause a vibration. If it didn't pull before you have a bad tire that is probably causing your vibration and the pulling. 99% of the time tire balance problems are from 60mph and up.

you have a #1 a balance problem, #2 if its pulling if the amount of air is greater in one tire than the other it will pull, a few pounds makes a world of difference.

You do indeed have a balancing problem. As also mentioned, air in the tires in different amounts makes a difference as well.

It is a balance problem. Take it back to the tire installer!!!!!!!!
